Observer journo's father dies in road accident

Habibur Rahman, 55, father of the Daily Observer Staff Correspondent Hasibur Rahman Murad, died on Thursday in a road accident in front of the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC) in Savar.

Habibur Rahman, a Lower Division Assistant (LDA) of the BPATC, was crossing the road in front of the gate-3 of the center at round 10:30am to attend office. At that time, a speedy vehicle hit him from behind and run over him.

Soon after the accident, he was rushed to a local hospital but doctors declared him dead.

Murad said his father will be taken to his village home at Betagi in Barguna for burial.

Habibur Rahman left behind his wife, two daughters, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

The Daily Observer family mourned the death of Murad's father and prayed for the divine peace of the departed soul.
