Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin's wife Jahanara Abedin passes away

Jahanara Abedin, wife of legendary Bangladeshi artist Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, passed away on Thursday at a city hospital due to age-related complications. She was 94.

Expressing deep sorrow at her passing, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

In his message, Dr. Khan acknowledged Jahanara Abedin’s significant role in supporting and contributing to life and success of her husband, the pioneer of modern art in Bangladesh.

He also prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and extended his sympathy to the family during this time of grief.
