2 Indian held in Chuadanga

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh arrested two Indian nationals from Chuadanga's Jibannagar border area under Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion.

A press release, issued from BGB-58 Battalion, confirmed the matter on Thursday.

A special patrol team of BGB led by Subedar M Hafizur Rahman of Jibannagar BOP raided a drive in the area and arrested them from adjacent to Jibannagar Bus Stand.

The arrested were identified as Putul Das, 49, daughter of Harlal Das of Tilakchandrapur village of Kalinagar police station in South 24 Pargana, West Bengal and Taker Das, 25, son of Balai Das of the same village.

The arrested were trying to enter India after illegally staying in Bangladesh, the release said.

Confirming the matter, Maheshpur Police Station officer-in-charge Faiz Uddin Mridha said that a case would be filed against the duo and they would be produced before the court.
