DSCC ward secretary detained while receiving bribes

A special team of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has caught Kutubuddin Sohel, secretary of ward no-4 under area no-2 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), red-handed while receiving bribe.

The ACC's deputy director Md Aktarul Islam confirmed this to media on Thursday.

It confiscated money received as bribes and other samples.

The ward secretary's detention comes after Md Saiful Islam, manager of Life Care Diagnostic Center at East Basabo in the capital's Sabujbagh, filed a written complaint to ACC's coordinated district office.
