Govt to procure 1 cargo LNG, 2.20cr litre palm olein

 
The government approved separate proposals for procuring some one cargo LNG, 2.20 crore litres of refined palm olein and 30,000 metric tons of bagged granular urea fertilizer to meet the growing demand.

Palm olein is the liquid fraction obtained during the fractionation of palm oil, a process that separates the oil into its liquid and solid components.

The approvals came from the 16th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase in this year held on Tuesday.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed presided over the meeting virtually.

Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market through following international quotation method from M/S Vitol Asia Pte Limited, Singapore with around TK 598.30 crore.
