A man was killed in a collision between a pick-up van and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Gazipur's Sreepur upazila.
The accident occurred around 4:30 am on Wednesday (April 23) at Uzilab in the upazila.
The deceased was Ansar Ali, 60, hailed from Rangpur.
Sreepur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Monowar Hossain said that a CNG was going to Bararmi area with passengers from Maona intersection area. At one stage, when the CNG reached Uzilab area, it collided with a parked pick-up van. Ansar Ali died on the spot. Four people, including the CNG driver, were injured in the accident.
Later, the injured were rescued and sent to various hospitals and clinics by locals. On information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body.
