The KUET students, who are on hunger strike, remain rigid on their one-point demand of resignation of Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammed Masud, despite discussion with the Education Adviser.
On Wednesday morning, Adviser CR Abrar visited the campus and met the students. He then requested the protesters to withdraw their hunger strike keeping dependence on the investigation committee.
But the students said that they would not break the fast until the VC resigned.
Adviser CR Abrar said, "A committee has been formed by the education ministry in this regard. This committee would soon engage in dialogue. There is no scope for hasty decisions."
Meanwhile, the students said they have been on movement for the last two months. But their demands are not still met.
"Even if we have to die, we will not withdraw the hunger strike without the resignation of the VC."
After discussion, the Education Adviser left the campus with Khulna divisional commissioner Firoz Sarker and deputy commissioner Saiful Islam.
