31 more dengue cases reported in 24hrs

A total of 31 new dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the past 24 hours, according to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the newly admitted patients, 11 were reported from Barishal division, nine from Chattogram, four from Dhaka North City Corporation, five from Dhaka South, and two from Mymensingh division.

Meanwhile, 32 dengue patients recovered and were discharged during the same period.

With these new admissions, the total number of dengue cases reported so far this year has reached 2,349. The DGHS also confirmed that 18 people have died from dengue-related complications in 2025.

In contrast, last year saw a significant spike, with 1,01,214 reported cases and 575 dengue-related deaths, as per DGHS data.
