A Dhaka University student has been found hanging at a flat in the capital's Hatirpool area.
Deceased Pinak Ranjan Sarker, 24, was the masters student of Department Of Drawing and Painting Faculty of Fine Art. He used to live in a mess at Hatirpool.
Police recovered the body at about 1AM on Tuesday and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
Jahid, room-mate and also the friend of Pinak, informed that, around 6:43PM on Monday, Pinak sent him a message forbidding him from going home.
"We both lived in a rented flat," Jahid said.
Later, Jahid found a story on Pinak's Facebook where he (Pinak) worte "No one was responsible for my death."
"When I returned to home from office, found that Pinak locked the door from inside. As he did not open the door after a lot of pushing, I called national emergency helpline 999."
Getting phone call, police came to the spot and found the body hanging on a ceiling fan breaking the door open.
