One more die in Dengue

One person has died of dengue and 42 new patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the newly hospitalised patients, 22 were from Barishal division, 11 from Chattogram, four from Dhaka division, and five were admitted to various hospitals under Dhaka South.

During the same period, 30 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

With the latest figures, the total number of dengue cases reported this year has reached 2,318, while the death toll stands at 18.

In comparison, the previous year saw a significantly higher outbreak with 1,01,214 reported cases and 575 deaths, the DGHS release added.
