Tureen Afroz shown arrested in July uprising murder case

Former war crimes prosecutor Tureen Afroz has been shown arrested in a murder case related to July uprising.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan issued the order on Monday after hearing a petition from the case investigation officer.

Tureen was produce before the court around 10:30AM. She was then found in a smiling face.

Tureen Afroz was arrested at night on April 7 from her Uttara residence in connection with the attempt to murder case of a student named Abdul Jabbar during the July uprising.

She was sent to jail on April 12 after she was remanded for four days.
