Rain expected in Dhaka, other divisions over next 24 hours

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thunder showers in all divisions, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours starting at 9 am on Monday.

According to a Met office bulletin, rain or thunder showers with lightning and temporary gusty winds are expected in several areas of Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, as well as isolated locations in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.
On Sunday, Khulna recorded the highest temperature in the country at 36.7 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was 20 degrees Celsius in Nikli, Kishoreganj.

The trough of low pressure is positioned over West Bengal and the surrounding region, while the seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly during both day and night across the country.
