A seminar titled "Allama Iqbal's State Thought" will be held today at 3:30 pm at RC Majumdar Hall, Dhaka University (DU), marking the death anniversary of renowned poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal.

The event is being organized by Allama Iqbal Sangsad, in tribute to the influential thinker who is widely regarded as the National Poet of Pakistan.
Distinguished guests and scholars will join as discussants, including Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, former vice chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University; Prof Dr Abdul Latif Masum, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University; Dr Dil Rowshan Zinnat Ara Nazneen, member of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS); Alamgir Mohiuddin, editor of Dainik Naya Diganta; journalist Mustafa Kamal Majumder; and poet Mosharraf Hossain Khan.

Allama Iqbal was a multifaceted personality—poet, philosopher, lawyer, and scholar—who made enduring contributions to Urdu and Persian literature. His vision of a separate Muslim homeland in the Indian subcontinent later influenced the creation of Pakistan.
