Swechasebak Dal leader held with Yaba pills in Patuakhali

Police arrested a Swechasebak Dal leader from Adabaria union of Bauphal upazila in Patuakhali on Saturday.

The arrested, Liton, is the joint convener of Adabaria union Jubo Dal.

Confirming the matter, Bauphal Police Station officer-in-charge Kamal Hossain said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested him.

Police also recovered 500 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession.

A case was filed with the police station under the Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
