Farmer dies after falling off tree

A farmer died after falling off a tree at Badarpur union of Lalmohan upazila in Bhola on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, son of late Tobarak Mia, a resident of the same ward in the upazila.
According to locals, Kabir climbed on a rain tree to cut off its portion. He, at one stage, fell off the tree, leaving him critically injured on the spot.

Locals rescued him from the spot and took him to Lalmohan Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Confirming the matter, Lalmohan Police Station officer-in-charge M Sirajul Islam said that a team of police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceased family after legal procedures.

An unnatural death case has been lodged with the police station in this connection, the OC added.
