The warning, issued for inland river ports, urged authorities to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
The affected areas include Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Dhaka, and Chandpur. The weather office predicted temporary squally winds of 45-60 km/h, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms, originating from the west or northwest.

In a separate forecast valid until 9 AM Saturday, the Met Office stated that many parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience rainfall, with isolated heavy downpours in some areas. Residents have been advised to remain cautious as adverse weather conditions could disrupt travel and daily activities.
