The process for submitting online applications for the transfer of assistant teachers at government primary schools has officially commenced today.
An official order signed by Mahfuza Khatun, Assistant Director (Policy and Operations) at the Primary Education Directorate, was issued on Wednesday to initiate the procedure.
Teachers seeking inter-district transfers (within the same division) must submit their applications by April 19. The order also outlines a clear timeline for verification and processing: the Assistant Upazila or Thana Primary Education Officer must complete their tasks between April 21 and 25, while the District Primary Education Officers must wrap up their activities from April 26 to 27. The final processing by the Divisional Deputy Director should be completed by April 30.
Teachers are required to select a maximum of three preferred schools for transfer. If they choose only one school, that will suffice. However, once a transfer order is issued based on their application, no requests for cancellations will be accepted thereafter.
In the past, over 10% of primary school teachers across 216 Upazilas or Thanas were reassigned to different locations.
