The students from different departments of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) brought out a torch procession on the campus in Khulna on Thursday evening demanding the resignation of the university's Vice-Chancellor.
Hundreds of students of the university assembled in front of the university's Durbar Bangla Chattar around 7:30 PM and brought out the torch procession chanting different slogans to press home their demand.
The procession ended in front of the university's main entrance after parading main streets of the campus.
Later, the agitating students held a press briefing around 8:00 PM.
Addressing the press briefing, the students said that they would continue their protest on the campus until their demands were met. 'We are not against the teachers. Hence, why they took position against us.'
The university administration would have to announce the names and identification of the 37 students who were suspended frome the university, they added.
