Dear Sir,
In today's globalized world, as people chase the dream of a better life beyond borders, a certain class of individuals emerges-not to help realize that dream, but to shatter it. In Bangladesh, this group has become alarmingly ruthless and bloodthirsty. In recent times, millions are being trafficked illegally to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Malaysia. Where only one worker is needed, ten or more are being sent to the same location. Through deception, the poor and vulnerable fall victim to exploitation, deprivation, and uncertainty. All they can do is look to the sky and sigh in despair-powerless against these brokers of misery.
Many fall prey to brutal abuse; some go missing, while others return home with unbearable experiences. Some even spend their prime years unjustly imprisoned abroad. This situation can no longer be ignored. Human trafficking is not just a personal tragedy-it's a grave threat to our national security, dignity, and human rights.
To curb this crisis, the government, authorities, and society must work together. Awareness must be raised across rural areas, legal migration pathways must be strengthened, and the traffickers must be brought to swift and severe justice. The time has come to stop turning a blind eye, to rise and light the torch of awareness. Ensuring the safety and dignity of our remittance warriors is not just a necessity-it's a national responsibility.
