PABNA, Apr 17: A man was killed and another hospitalised in a fight between two brothers in Ishwardi Upazila of the district on Thursday.
The incident took place in Kaikunda Village under Laxmikunda Union of the upazila.
Deceased Ziku Sardar, 30, was the son of Rikat Ali Sardar of the village.
The injured brother is Monirul Sardar, 35.
Local sources said that the two brothers were locked into a clash following an altercation over construction of a house, which left the both brothers seriously injured.
The injured were then rescued and taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor referred them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) for better treatment.
Later on, Jiku succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rajshahi.
Injured Monirul is currently undergoing treatment at the RMCH.
Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Police Station Shahidul Islam confirmed the incident, adding that legal action would be taken in this regard.
