New political party 'Bangladesh A-AM Janata Party' has made its debut.
Mohammad Rafiqul Amin, the Managing Director of the controversial Destiny Group, announced the party's manifesto on Thursday at a press conference held at a five-star hotel in the capital's Banani.
Fatima Tasnim has been named the party's Member Secretary.
Rafiqul Amin said, "Even after 54 years of independence, the people of this country are still struggling against deprivation and discrimination. For this, the people unitedly removed autocratic rule. The Bangladesh A-AM Janata Party aims to play a leading role in ensuring the implementation of fundamental human rights and establishing political rights."
A 297-member convening committee of the party was also announced at the event. Citizens from various professional, political, social, and cultural backgrounds were also present.
