Youth killed being hit by train in M'singh

A youth killed after being struck by a train at Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh district on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred near the outer signal of Shyamganj Railway Junction station en route to Gouripur of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Rakibul Islam, 24, son of Haydarul Islam from Ramchandranagar village under Achintpur union of the upazila.

According to deceased's family sources, Rakibul had been suffering from mental imbalance from past year.

Confirming the matter, Shyamganj Railway Junction Station Police Outpost in-charge Nurul Islam stated that police have visited the scene and the body has been sent to Gouripur Upazila Health Complex morgue for an autopsy.
