The undergraduate (Bachelor’s/Honours) admission test for 2024–25 academic year at Khulna University will be held on April 17 and 18.
For the first time, Khulna University’s admission test will take place not only in Khulna but also in Dhaka and Rajshahi centers.
This year, 107,685 students are set to participate in the admission test, competing for 1,109 seats. That means around 97 candidates will be vying for each seat.
On Thursday, April 17, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the admission test for the ‘C’ Unit (School of Arts & Humanities, Social Science, Law, Education and Fine Arts) will be held.
Additionally, the drawing test for the Fine Arts discipline will take place from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
In Khulna, the test will be conducted at Khulna University, Deldar Ahmed Government Secondary School, Hope Polytechnic Institute, Reverend Paul’s High School, KCC Women’s College, and Government Women’s College, where a total of 14,480 candidates will sit for the exam.
Meanwhile, 12,104 candidates will appear at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) center in Dhaka and 7,855 at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) center.
From 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the admission test for ‘D’ Unit (School of Management and Business Administration) will be held exclusively at Khulna University center with 4,154 candidates participating.
On Friday, April 18, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the admission test for ‘B’ Unit will take place at Khulna University, Deldar Ahmed Government Secondary School, and Hope Polytechnic Institute, with 7,874 candidates appearing across these centers. Additionally, 13,684 candidates will participate in this test at Dhaka University center and 6,389 at RUET center.
On the same day, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, ‘A’ Unit (School of Science, Engineering and Technology) admission test will be held, followed by the Architecture drawing test from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. For this unit, 11,156 candidates will take the exam at Khulna University, Deldar Ahmed Government Secondary School, Reverend Paul’s High School and Hope Polytechnic Institute. In addition, 21,560 students will sit for the exam at Dhaka University center, and 8,463 at RUET center.
Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University, Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, stated that this year the university is conducting its own admission test independently, stepping away from the cluster system. For the first time, the test is being held not only in Khulna but also in Dhaka and Rajshahi, which has made the process more accessible and convenient for applicants.
He also noted that for the first time, three prestigious institutions; BUET, Dhaka University and RUET have joined with Khulna University in organizing the tests.
He expressed hope that the involvement of these renowned institutions will help ensure the highest standards in the admission process and conveyed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to them for their support.
