The protesting students of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) have entered dormitories breaking the lock opened.

Earlier at 12noon on Tuesday, they held a press briefing where they demanded VC's resignation.

The students said, "As the Vice-Chancellor has failed to provide security to the students, refused to take responsibility for the failure, he has shut off the internet connection, water and thrown the students out of the hall. The VC has fueled the case against the protesting students, expelled the protesting students, so we are announcing one point from the six-point. The removal of this VC is our only demand. At the same time, we are demanding an impartial investigation through an impartial investigation committee under the new VC."
On Monday night, the authorities expelled 37 students in connection with the recent clashes between university students and members of the BNP.
