Soybean oil price up by Tk 14 per liter

The price of soybean oil has been increased on Sunday by Tk 14 per liter, from Tk 175 to Tk 189.

Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Banaspati Manufacturers Association in a notification said that the new price will effective from Monday.

After a week of bargaining and meetings with the government, the edible oil mill owners finally increased the price of soybean oil.
As a result, the price of one liter of bottled soybean oil is now Tk 189, which was previously Tk 175.

According to the new announcement, the new price of a five-liter bottle of soybean oil has been set at Tk 922, which was Tk 852. Along with bottled oil, the new price of open soybean and palm oil has been set at Tk 169 per liter, which was Tk 157.

Earlier, the price of bottled soybean oil was last increased on December 9. At that time, the price per liter was set at 175 taka.
