Two men were electrocuted in separate incidents in two districts - Laxmipur and Pabna.
LAXMIPUR: A man was electrocuted in Sadar Upazila of the district on Sunday.
The incident took place in Hazirhayt Village of the upazila at around 10:30 am.
The deceased was identified as Kawsar Ahmed, 35, son of Omar Farooq, a resident of Goja-Kadira area.
It was known that Kawsar came in contact with a live electric wire while starting a sawmill machine, which left him critically injured.
He was then rescued by locals, but died on the way to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station (PS) Md Abdul Monnaf confirmed the incident.
SANTHIA, PABNA: A school teacher was electrocuted in Santhia Upazila of the district on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 38, son of Rois Uddin, a resident of Hengua Village under Santhia Municipality.
He was a mathematics teacher at Kashinathpur Science and Technology School.
Police and the deceased's family sources said that the tin roof of Delwar's house collapsed due to storm at around 7 pm. Delwar came in contact with live electricity while trying to fix it, which left him dead on the spot.
Being informed, police visited the scene. Santhia PS OC Saidur Rahman confirmed the incident.
Meanwhile, Delwar Hossain was buried at Shalghar Rahmania Central Graveyard following a Namaz-e-Janaza held on Hengua Eidgah ground at around 9 am on Sunday.
