At least 30 individuals were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers' over establishing supremacy in Narail's Kalia upazila on Friday.
The clash incident took place around 6:30 PM at Kanchan village of Babra-Hachla union in the upazila.
The injured were identified as Karim Munshi, 49, Farid Molla, 57, Hussain Sheikh, 18, Ashraf Molla, 50, Bashir Munshi, 45, Karim Munshi, 37, Jalal Munshi, 47, Tauhid, Molla, 50, Almis Sheikh, 35, Nirob, 12, Hasib, 15, Kibria, 28, Osman, 15, Kamal, 40 Tarik, 24, Jakaria, 25, Didar, 18, and others.
According to the locals, there had been a long standing dispute between Milon Molla and Aftab Molla over establishing supremacy in the area. The supporters of Aftab Molla assualted Sanowar, loyal to Milon, while he was returning home from court on Thursday.
Following Thursday's incident, the supporters of Milon attacked on the houses of the supporters of Aftab on Friday evening.
The two groups, at one point, swooped on each others with locally made sharp weapons, leaving 30 people of the both groups injured on the spot.
Locals rescued the inujred and took them to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Confirming the matter, Kalia Police Station officer-in-charge Rashidul Islam said that the situation was now under control.
Additional police personnel including Army officials were deployed in the area to avert any kind of unexpected situation, the OC added.
