Tanvir Bari Hamim, publicity affairs secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) at Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall at Dhaka University (DU) announced a special initiative to provide an evening festive Eid feast for students remaining on campus during the upcoming Eid holidays.

The programme, sponsored by Kamol Medi Aid, DU, aims to ensure that approximately 18 residential halls' students experience a sense of warmth and belonging during the festive period.

Hamim revealed the comprehensive plan on Friday, emphasising the organisation's commitment to student welfare. Students wishing to participate must contact him via mobile before midnight on 29 March.
Whilst hall administrations will manage lunch provisions, Hamim's team will take full responsibility for the evening meal service, delivering food directly to students' rooms.

The initiative represents more than just a meal service; it is a testament to the student organisation's broader commitment to campus community support.

Kamol Medi Aid, DU has previously demonstrated its dedication through diverse student-focused programmes, including inter-hall cricket tournaments, medical camps, Quran recitation competitions, and the strategic installation of sanitary vending machines in girls' common rooms.

This compassionate approach highlights the potential of student-led initiatives to create meaningful social impact, bridging gaps and fostering a sense of collective care during significant cultural celebrations. By ensuring no student feels isolated during Eid, Hamim and his team are exemplifying the true spirit of community support within the university ecosystem.
