He brought me flowers! "Girl, you're so lucky!"
At least that's what they say.
I mean, I guess I am, but he bought me daisies!
Even though I'm allergic to them.
He missed my birthday. "Hey, not a big deal.
I don't even like my birthday anyway".
Who am I kidding? I knew he wouldn't remember.
Yet I kept myself free that day.

Traditional earrings? Yeah, they're pretty.
But you know I never wear them, right?
Could've just said "They looked nice", instead he told me
"They're trending and everybody likes."

To be loved is to be seen, heard, and known.
But do you even see me at all?
What if I had played hard to get in the beginning?
Maybe then you would have wanted me more.

It kind a sucks when we're sitting together
And you don't even look me in the eyes.
You know what's funny? I wait all day
Just to see "I love you" and "goodnight".


I guess you'll never let me dive into you
And I'll never be the one to see your deepest scar.
But you said we're meant to be together
So, I stand right beside you, loving a stranger's heart.
