Taking advantage of this opportunity, many unscrupulous traders are selling low-quality fabrics, ready-made garments and fake Indian clothes at high prices and making extra profits.

Only a few days are left for Eid. Eid shopping is in full swing. Shoppers are rushing from the sidewalks to small and large markets and shopping malls according to their capabilities.

Shoppers say they have little time. In the meantime, they have to buy new clothes according to their means and celebrate Eid. However, shoppers are complaining that the prices of clothes are higher than last time. Some shops are giving discounts on the occasion of Eid.

However, one of the vendors said, "On the occasion of Eid, we have given an offer of Tk 1,000 for a saree that is regularly sold for Tk 1,800 to Tk 2,000."

A tour of the shopping malls shows that Punjabis and half shirts are the most popular for men. Pakistani sarees and three-pieces are the most popular for women.

One of the shoppers said, "The prices are very high. It is not possible to buy them within the budget."

The vendors are spending their busy time satisfying customers. They say that their biggest commercial hope is the year-round Ramadan Eid sales.
