Deter circulating of fake currency during Eid

Dear Sir,

Eid-ul-Fitr is an occasion of joy, hope, and new beginnings, where love and happiness flow abundantly among family, friends, and neighbors. Eid is synonymous with a surge in shopping and trading. During this festive period, when buyers and sellers engage in large-scale transactions, dark forces like counterfeit currency syndicates become active. The spread of counterfeit money not only causes financial losses but also poses a serious threat to the stability of the national currency. When the demand and circulation of counterfeit notes increase in the market, the value of real currency starts to decline. This leads to inflation and disrupts economic stability. Such fraudulent activities erode public trust and create negative perceptions about the banking system, ultimately hindering economic progress. This issue is not just an economic problem but also a major blow to social security. If these illegal activities of counterfeit money racketeers are not curbed, the joy of Eid could eventually turn into distress. Therefore, to ensure a joyous and worry-free Eid celebration, we urgently call upon law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities to take effective measures against these criminal networks.
