BIDA Chief, CCECC President discuss potentials of 2nd Chinese EZ in Mongla

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun discussed about a second potential Chinese Economic Zone (EZ) around Mongla port with Chinese investors.

He held the discussion with president of Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Chen Sichang in the sidelines of Bo'ao Forum for Asia Annual Conference in Hainan, China, on Thursday.

"During the meeting they held talk on a potential second Chinese economic zone," according to the Press Wing of Chief Adviser office.

"They also discussed the potential collaboration to employ Bangladeshi workers across the globe in CCECC-run projects," it said.

Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun is now visiting China accompanied the Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus to attract the Chinese investment in potential economic sectors in Bangladesh.
