Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed said that economic activities will remain active during holidays for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festival of the Muslims.

"Most of the advisers will remain in the city during the holidays. There will be no problem in taking decisions even if the secretaries go out of the country. These days, decisions can be taken digitally. So, economy will not stagnate even during Eid holidays," he said on Thursday.

The adviser said this after the meetings of Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) and Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs (ACCEA) held at the Cabinet Division conference room at Secretariat in the city.
Bangladesh is going to 9-day Eid vacation from tomorrow to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

Salehuddin said that the meeting of the ACCGP approved separate proposals for procuring two cargos of LNG, 70,000 tonnes of fertiliser and 50,000 tonnes of non-Basmati boiled rice in a bid to meet the growing demand of the country. "BSS
