Police have arrested three individuals over making a fake robbery drama at Monohardi upazila in Narsingdi district.
Investigating officer of the case, sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Al Islam confirmed the information.
The arrested individuals are Kiron Hossain, 24, a delivery man for Ayon Trading Nestle Bangladesh PLC from Khirati village under Kapasia upazila in Gazipur district; Mehedi Mridul, 19, from the same village in Kapasia upazila and Polash Mia, 27, driver of Ayon Trading Nestle Bangladesh PLC, from Lakhpur Chandannagar village under Monohardi upazila in Narsingdi district.
They staged a fake robbery and filed a complaint with Monohardi Police Station, claiming that their cash and mobile phones had been robbed from a road under Lebutola unioon in the upazila.
Monohardi Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Jabbar said that a robbery case was filed in this incident, with case number 21, dated 25-03-2025.
Monohardi police then launched an investigation in this regard.
During the investigation, they recovered a total of Tk 236,060 and three mobile phones from the arrested individuals' possessions.
