Trade between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port in Dinajpur will be suspended for eight days, from March 29 to April 5, due to the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Prof Shahinur Islam, the general secretary of the Hili Customs C&F Agents Association, confirmed that all trade activities will be halted during this period for the Eid holidays. He mentioned that operations will resume at the land port on April 6.
However, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Hili Immigration Check-post, Ariful Islam, stated that cross-border travel will continue through the immigration check-post during the suspension of trade activities.
