Extending heartfelt congratulations to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Independence Day, the USA reiterated its support for the country's democratic journey.
"This celebration comes at a pivotal point in Bangladesh's history, as the Interim Government prepares the nation for elections that will allow the people of Bangladesh to choose the path forward for their nation," stated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In a statement issued by the US Department of State, Rubio underscored the significance of this year's celebration as Bangladesh gears up for upcoming elections.
