Modern commuter trains roll on Dhaka-N’ganj route

NARAYANGANJ, Mar 26: Eight pairs of new commuter trains are being launched on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route on the occasion of Independence Day and National Day today.

This train service, launched under the overall supervision of Bangladesh Railway, will make the travel of passengers between Narayanganj and Dhaka easier.

The district administration said these trains, built in the style of Metrorail, will have modern amenities and will play an important role in ensuring fast, safe and comfortable travel.

The train left Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station at 11:00am on Wednesday and reached Chashara Railway Station at 11:50am.

Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah, Deputy Commissioner in Narayanganj, inaugurated eight new pairs of train services on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route. The inauguration programme was conducted at Chashara Railway Station in the afternoon in the presence of political and social leaders and people from different walks of life of Narayanganj.

The passengers of Narayanganj said that with the launch of this new train service, they will be able to reach their destinations on time.
