KHULNA, Mar 26: Khulna City Corporation (KCC) launched a simultaneous crash programme on Monday in the city to expedite mosquito control and cleanliness efforts.
To accelerate mosquito control and cleanliness activities in the city, KCC Administrator Md Firoz Sarker, also Khulna Divisional Commissioner, inspected the mosquito control and drain cleaning operations in wards 22 and 29, along with the political and civic society leaders in the afternoon.
BNP District Unit's President Shafiqul Alam Mona, KCC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Laskar Tajul Islam, Chief Waste Management Officer and Executive Magistrate Kohinur Jahan, Chief Planning Officer Abir Ul Zobbar, Conservancy Officers Engineer Md Anisur Rahman and Md Ohiduzzaman Khan, ward officials Molla Maruf Rashid and Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (Khulna) Tarikul Islam Zahir, President of Greater Khulna Development Coordination Committee Sheikh Ashrafuzzaman, General Secretary of Amra Brihottor Khulnabashi Sardar Abu Taher, and Citizen Society Member Secretary Advocate Md Babul Hawlader, along with leaders of various civic organizations, were present.
The KCC administrator will inspect the on-going crash programme activities in Sonadanga and Khalishpur Police Station areas, followed by an inspection to Daulatpur and Khan Jahan Ali wards area from March 25 to 27.
