One killed in Jhenaidah road mishap

A man was killed as a bus hit his bicycle on the Kaliganj-Kotchandpur road in Taleshwar Bazar area under Kaliganj upazila in jhenaidah district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khokon Tarafdar, 55, son of late Bahar Ali Tarafdar, a resident of Shahapur Ghighati village of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 9 am as a bus hit the bicycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider Khikon dead on the spot, said officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station Shahidul Islam Howlader.

Police recovered the body and handed over it to his family.
