Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam officially launched a website dedicated to documenting the July Uprising on Tuesday.

The website, julyuprising.com, was developed by the Information Department and unveiled at the Secretariat to provide a structured account of events from that historic period.
Highlighting its significance, Adviser Mahfuj Alam stated that the website presents a chronological compilation of newspaper reports on the July Uprising. He expressed appreciation for the Information Department officials involved in the project, emphasizing that the platform would offer valuable insights into the media's role during the movement and serve as a crucial resource for research.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana hailed the initiative as a landmark step in preserving history. She noted that the website would educate future generations about the uprising and stressed the need to continually enrich it with more information.

Chief Information Officer Mohammad Nizamul Kabir added that the Information Department has undertaken multiple efforts to preserve records of the uprising. Under the adviser's guidance, the department successfully developed the website in a short timeframe.

The website categorizes information into four sections: Scan Newspaper: Full scanned copies of newspapers from the uprising period; News Clipping: Excerpts of published news reports; Photo album: A collection of still images documenting the movement from various sources; Regional Newspaper: Scanned editions of regional and district-level publications.
