The Payment Systems Department (PSD) of Bangladesh Bank has extended the deadline for submitting applications to establish credit bureaus. The original cutoff date of 31 March 2025 has been pushed to 09 April 2025 due to public holidays and weekends between 28 March and 05 April.
The decision ensures applicants have adequate time to complete submissions before the portal closes at the end of business hours on the revised date.
Authorities emphasized that no further extensions will be granted, urging interested entities to finalize their applications promptly. The move aligns with the central bank's efforts to strengthen financial infrastructure by facilitating regulated credit information services. Compliance with the updated timeline remains mandatory for all prospective operators.
The circular (No. 02/2025, dated 25 March 2025) formalizes the adjustment, reinforcing Bangladesh Bank's directive-driven approach to procedural adherence.
Stakeholders must note the inflexibility of the new deadline, as the regulator maintains strict enforcement of licensing frameworks to ensure systemic integrity.
