Former Bangladesh captain and one of the country's cricketing icons Tamim Iqbal suffered a massive heart attack on March 24. He was immediately rushed to KPJ Hospital, where doctors detected a heart blockage and inserted a ring. Thankfully, Tamim is now out of danger, with his condition showing significant improvement.

Returning from the brink of death, Tamim took to social media to express his gratitude and share a poignant message. In a heartfelt post on his verified Facebook page, he reflected on the fragility of life and the importance of helping others in need.

Tamim recalled an incident from two years ago during Ramadan when he met Anup Elvin Adhikari, a Dhaka resident. Anup's father had been waiting for a heart operation for four years, unable to afford the procedure. Moved by the family's plight, Tamim took full responsibility for the operation ensuring that it was finally conducted.

"The beating of the heart keeps us alive. But we forget this fact over and over again," he wrote, emphasizing the unpredictability of life. "When I started the day yesterday, did I know what was going to happen to me? I am back with the infinite mercy of Allah and the prayers of everyone."

Tamim credited the extraordinary efforts of those who stood by him during the crisis acknowledging their role in his recovery.

His message carried a powerful appeal for humanity and solidarity. "Some incidents remind us of reality, showing how short life truly is. Since we can't take anything with us in this short life, let's stand by each other in times of danger," he urged.

Expressing his deep gratitude to fans, well-wishers and the cricketing fraternity, Tamim added, "I sincerely thank and love all of you. Please pray for me and my family. Without your love, I am nothing."

Tamim's father, Iqbal Khan also had a history of heart problems making this health scare even more
significant for the cricketer and his family.
