Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that despite consuming the blood of children, students and mass people, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's thirst for blood remains unquenched.

He made this remark on Tuesday evening during an Iftar gathering organized by Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

The event, which included a discussion session, saw Rizvi deliver the keynote address as chief guest.

Dr. Abdus Salam, former central secretary of DAB, was the chief speaker at the event, which was presided over by Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, president of Rangpur Medical College unit of DAB. Other central and local BNP leaders also delivered speeches during the program.

Rizvi further added that ruling Awami League clings to power primarily for financial gains, citing the alleged embezzlement of funds from major projects like Flyover and Padma Bridge, which he claims have been used to build a vast fortune for the ruling party’s leaders and their families, ensuring their continued control and influence.

He also emphasized that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina harbors thoughts of violence, murder, enforced disappearances and revenge.

Rizvi called for justice to be served for those responsible for the mass killings, including Sheikh Hasina and her associates, and urged for the swift holding of elections.

The Iftar gathering was attended by not only doctors but also people from others professions.
