2 siblings die from electrocution in Chandpur

Two siblings died from electrocution in Chandpur's Kachua upazila on Monday.

The incident took place in the evening at Shasnkhola village under Kadla union of the upazila.
The dead were Khorshed Alam Bakaul, 50, and his younger brother Abul Hasanat Bakaul, 36, both sons of Kabir Hossain Bakaul from the same village.

According to their family members, the incident occurred near a mosque adjacent to their residence, where the siblings were using a shallow machine to draw water from a ditch. In the evening, the two came in contact with a live electrical wire and sustained severe injuries.

Locals rescued them in critical condition and took to Kachua Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead.

Kachua Police Station Officer-in-Charge Azizul Islam confirmed the news.
