Imam-Muazzins to get profitless small loans

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will provide profitless small loans to the Imam and Muazzins of the mosques from now on.

Economically insolvent Imams and the Muazzins who received trainings from the Islamic foundation previously will get this loan from the foundation’s Imam-Muazzin Welfare Trust Fund. Aside from this, the fund provides economical aid to the Imams and Muazzins by donation money, reports BSS.

This year a total of 1 crore 80 lakh taka has been given as small loan to 600 Imam and Muazzins under this project and total 2 crore 31 lakh taka has been given as donation money to 4620 Imam and Muazzins.

A total of 4 crore 11 lakh taka will be spent from the Trust Fund behind these two, Donation and Profitless Small Loan, project this year.
