Metro Rail service was suspended for 27 minutes on Monday due to technical glitches, causing inconvenience to the commuters.

"A metro train got stuck due to a mechanical fault. Since it is an automatic system, the other trains behind this train also got stuck in their respective places," said A K M Khairul Alam, Director (Administration) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
He said the metro train movement was stopped from 3:40 pm to 4:07 pm. Later, metro train movement resumed its service at 4:08 pm.

Passengers said that they were standing in a queue inside the station at Karwan Bazaar but no train was seen, as the train was stuck at another station due to technical glitches.

At that time, the station's microphone announced that the authorities had expressed their sincere apologies for the temporary inconvenience created for the commuters, they said. "BSS
