Dear sir,
Currently, alongside other crimes, incidents of extortion have been increasing at an alarming rate in the country. In particular, the illegal collection of money from businesspeople, vehicle drivers, and ordinary citizens is steadily rising, creating a sense of insecurity in society. Extortionists are forcibly extracting money through intimidation, physical assault, and psychological pressure.
Extortion has become a major problem for businesspeople. They are constantly being attacked at their shops and business establishments, where they are forced to pay extortion money.
Due to the increasing dominance of extortionists on roads, in markets, and at workplaces, ordinary people are living in fear, and their daily lives are being disrupted. Many who refuse to pay extortion money face threats of abduction, torture, and even death.
Effective measures must be taken immediately to stop extortion. Law enforcement agencies should be instructed to play a more active role. Arresting the extortionists quickly and ensuring exemplary punishment will help restore order in society and allow ordinary people to live in peace.
