Bangladesh cricket icon Tamim Iqbal's health condition has sparked a wave of concern across the cricket world, as he remains on life support following a severe medical emergency during a match at BKSP in Savar.

Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has taken stock of Tamim's condition, as Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder contacted BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury on his behalf. Ministry of Youth & Sports and National Sports Council are also closely monitoring Tamim's condition.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued an official statement thanking the medical teams at BKSP and KPJ Hospital for their swift response.

"We express our deepest gratitude to the doctors and specialists who acted promptly during this critical moment. The outpouring of love and concern for Tamim reflects the deep respect and admiration the nation holds for him," said BCB President Faruque Ahmed.

The BCB urged fans to refrain from gathering at the hospital to avoid disrupting medical care. "Tamim's condition will be updated through official channels. The board and his family request the entire nation to keep him in their prayers," the statement added.

The cricketing fraternity has also poured in heartfelt messages. IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders posted, "Get well soon, Tamim Iqbal. The entire cricket fraternity is praying for you." Bangla Tigers wrote, "Tamim Iqbal, you've always been a warrior on the field-now fight this battle too. Our duas are with you for a speedy recovery."

Former Sri Lankan pace legend Lasith Malinga joined in saying, "Wishing Tamim a speedy and full recovery! Keep fighting, just like you always have on the field." Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary added, "You have to win this battle, my friend, in the trademark Tamim Iqbal style! Pray! Get well soon, Tamim Iqbal!"

Bangladesh's cricketing stars also voiced their concerns. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza in a Facebook post wrote, "Tamim. Get well soon, everyone." Taskin Ahmed shared, "Tamim Iqbal is now on life support. Everyone will keep him in their prayers during this difficult time. May Allah grant him a speedy recovery."

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Liton Das and other teammates echoed similar sentiments, urging everyone to pray for Tamim's recovery.
Meanwhile, the BCB executive committee meeting scheduled for Monday was postponed in light of Tamim's situation underscoring the gravity of the moment for Bangladesh cricket.
