Dear Sir,
Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching. Eid is a festival of joy. However, for millions of workers in the country, it becomes a time of helplessness and uncertainty when they are deprived of their rightful salaries and bonuses on time. Workers engaged in the garment industry, transportation, construction, agriculture, and various other sectors are waiting to receive their wages and bonuses before Eid.
They rely on these payments to travel to their villages, buy new clothes for their parents and children, and ensure a proper meal for their families.Yet, every year, many establishments delay paying workers' dues. Some even resort to various excuses to reduce bonuses. As a result, the joy of Eid turns into suffering for the workers, and the frustration that builds up within them leads to unrest.
This situation is not only inhumane but also poses a severe threat to the discipline of the industrial sector. Workers are the backbone of the country's industrial sector and economy. Paying them their rightful dues on time is not just a moral duty but also essential for industrial stability and sustainable growth. Therefore, we urge the employers and relevant authorities to ensure that workers receive their fair wages and bonuses before Eid.
