Subject preference selection for Arts, Law & Social Science Unit and Science Unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2024-25 academic session will begin concurrently, university officials have confirmed.
The process will start after Science Unit results are published later this week.
Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, convener of the university's online admission committee, told on Sunday that while the exact date hasn't been finalised, both units will open for subject selection simultaneously once the Science Unit results are released. “We expect the process to begin within this week and continue even during the Eid holidays,” he stated.
The undergraduate admission test results for Arts, Law & Social Science Unit were published on March 6. In a departure from previous years' practices, no formal press conference was held for the announcement, with students instead directed to check their results through the university's website.
Meanwhile, university sources indicate preparations are in full swing for the publication of Science Unit results within the coming days, allowing thousands of prospective students to begin the crucial subject selection process that will determine their academic paths.
